Hon. Rupert A. Byrdsong
Judge, Los Angeles Superior Court
Judge Rupert A. Byrdsong was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior
Court in 2014 by Governor Jerry Brown and currently presides over an
unlimited jurisdiction civil calendar in Dept. 28 at the Stanley Mosk
Courthouse. He was the first African American judge assigned to an
unlimited civil trials courtroom in Chatsworth and to the Complex Civil
Department, where he oversaw all asbestos litigation in the county. He
is a founding member of AAACJO, a lifetime member of both CABL and
its Judicial Council, and serves on LACBA’s Labor and Employment
Law Section and Saturday Seminar Committee. Judge Byrdsong is
also a Past President of the California Judges Association (CJA), the
largest judges’ association in the country. He is a lifetime member, Past
President, and Judge of the Year of the John M. Langston Bar
Association.

Denver G. Edwards is the Managing Partner of Bradford Edwards
LLP. He advises stakeholders in insolvency and bankruptcy matters,
including Chapter 11 cases, and represents clients in securities
enforcement actions before courts and regulatory agencies. He has
deep experience recovering assets through clawbacks and thirdparty claims, and regularly defends clients in investigations by the
SEC, DOJ, and FINRA. Mr. Edwards also counsels on compliance

A distinguished mediator and arbitrator with JAMS, Paul Garrison
brings decades of experience in private practice, executive
leadership, and dispute resolution. He handles complex

with a pragmatic, business-minded approach. Formerly a senior
legal executive at Wells Fargo and other major institutions, Mr.
Garrison has resolved cases across employment, business, and
probate law, and frequently serves as an expert, fact-finder, and
trainer.
